My wife and I are staying at the Heathrow Radisson Blu Edwardian this Thursday night and flying out of Terminal 3 on Friday morning, we need to check in to Virgin Atlantic at around 8.00am and I'm trying to work out the best way to transfer between them.

The Hoppa Bus is a quite reasonable price but to get to T3 for 8.00am we would have to catch the bus at our hotel at 7.01am, unfortunately it then goes to nearly all the other hotels to drop off/pick up so we would end up with a lengthy 48 minutes travel time.

We will be dressed for the Caribbean and my wife doesn't fancy sitting on a bus for that amount of time with doors opening and closing on a cold frosty morning so I'm thinking of a taxi transfer and hoping that some of the well travelled people on here will be able to recommend me a reliable and reasonable company.

Your hotel will arrange it... or there is Uber.

Exactly this. Ask the front desk to call one for you while you're checking out.

Get the Hoppa bus, runs every 30 mins to all hotels and is around £4.50 per trim, very easy and great service.

I refer the honourable gentlemen to the OP made a few moments ago ;-)

The last time I was on the Hoppa it cost £6 one way, we were packed in like sardines providing insulation from the cold but also eliminating the risk of falling over due to late and unpredictable braking.
If I was with my wife I’d get a cab.

My recollection of our last Hoppa Bus trip is similar, very crowded and people climbing over each other to get on and off at each stop, I may have gone for it if it was a short journey but it would be making 9 stops between the Radisson and T3 which could have been awful.

Thanks for the advice chaps, I've just spoken to the hotel and they use Millenium Cars and will arrange it for us so that's the plan, we've spent enough on this trip to not worry about a 30 quid taxi fare!

Just about to book our Thursday evening dinner at the Pheasant Inn now, it's just a short walk up the road from the Radisson and is really good pub grub so is a nice start to the holiday.

As above, get the hotel to order one. Preorder the night before just to be safe.

I was actually at Radisson Red which was the last pick up prior to T3.

Although owing to the confusing way Booking.com distinguish between the two hotels in their confirmation I'd been dropped off at Blu. Thankfully I was on my own & did not need to give explanation to wife.

I think the black cab I used to get to get to correct place was running an ad-hoc shuttle between the two, as his previous fare came from Red to Blu. I expect it happens all the time. Check in at Red was very easy when I actually got there.

Ask the hotel for a taxi. Bath Road hotels are a bit hit and miss for Uber. Black cabs will also be annoyed if you take one from LHR to the hotel so be prepared for some aggro.

I live down the road in Staines and I refuse to use Uber for LHR after being messed about too much.
