Been after one of these for a long time but the only ones I have ever seen have been rotting to death.

Managed to source one in Colorado red back in the summer and haven't looked back.

It's led quite an interesting life, starting off in Texas in 1988, shipped to Japan in 1996 and was there until 2018. Obviously great getting a car from Japan as their MOT is so strict that cars tend to have led a good life. That appears to be true with this one as no rust (amazing) and it has had to have safety upgrades to conform with Japanese laws (Seatbelts, brakes, xenon headlights)

It's in storage at the moment as the salt will make it melt but I have a stack of upgrades ready including a La Cucaracha horn to really wind the neighbours up!

Brilliant, love these. I'm getting Skyler White from Breaking Bad vibes.

Love this! I think I saw this when it was for sale - looks like a really nice example.

We've got a 1991 - it's also in hiding from the salt, but it came out this week for its annual Christmas tree run.

Wonderful. Funny how taste changes over time. Watching The Great Outdoors as a lad I thought this was the ugliest thing ever made.

I love these. So cool to just burble around producing very limited horse power. I hope it makes a suitable noise?

Would love to have a proper look at one. Enjoy!

Thanks, love the tree!

What tyres do you have on yours? I want to get some whitewalls but am unsure on what to but.

Yes, makes a nice rumble, I think it has had the exhaust molested in some way!

Apologies for the lack of multi quote but am replying on my phone!

Thanks!

I've got Cooper Trendsetter SE tyres on there - 235/75R15. I got them because they look identical to the originals, plus they're what Wagonmaster put on their restored Wagoneers.
They've been absolutely fine, and were only about £75 per tyre shipped from Germany.

I'm not sure if they're still around for that price though - I put them on in 2018.

I wished mine had the sunroof too, then I read about the horrors they bring (leaks, rust, hacked up headliners) on various forums and decided I had actually dodged a bullet!

Thanks. What is the site you ordered the tyres from?
