try Adrian Flux, Competition Car Insurance, Lotus Esteem (AON) - join SELOC too www.seloc.org as you get discount with these...also do a driver training day with www.carlimits.com and you get another 10% for that too

Im with Adrian Flux - pay £1K pa for unlimited business use, 6 years NCB, 35 year old, fully modified 300bhp Honda engined S2 on an 02 plate.

I have been shopping around for insurance in the last week and it has been a nightmare for me because i am 22 now every insurance company i try apart from 2 admiral and elephant they are the same company. I have heard the lot you are not experienced enough with the car, you are too high a risk (4 years no claims), its only a matter of time before you crash the car.

It just seems that no company wants to insure me at the moment

Ju.

I am 22 and am with Admiral. They were the only reasonable one for me also.
No probs so far and I have had to claim, but I dont want to guess what my renewal will be......

Have to say give Norwich Union a try - tell them the cars mods. They came up half the price of most other brokers for me.

get in touch with autotorque (www.autotorque.co.uk/), they got a first quote of 1k ish for me - 29yrs old with full no claims on a manchester postcode. they said leave it with us as they thought they could do better and returned with £800 an hour later, which was the cheapest i could find by £200. ontop of that they seemed a really nice bunch.

I'm insured with elephant, 22, 4yrs NCB, with my dad as a named driver, i pay £1140 on an S1.

incidentally, putting mrs's/mother etc on it tended to reduce it. But my mrs was too young (20) at the time (she's 21 now)

Can't remember the brokers name but I got a good deal from Zenith. 32y/o, 10yrs ncb, clean licence (for now!) S1 £500 fully comp excluding commuting. Having a tracker seems to help no end with premiums, but it only works out cheaper if you looking longer term. Good luck!

try elephant i'm 27 full NCB for business use also with low XS i think 250 or smth I pay about £800 per year

i looked at AON but you have to have either had a rear wheel sports car (i.e. elise) before or they wont even talk to you, or you have to have done the lotus driving day which costs £400 anyway and when i was looking they were'nt running it as it was winter so basically they wouldnt help me at all!
