We're visiting my brother for the weekend and one of the kids has come down with the lurgy, so I'm stuck at home looking after him while everyone else goes shopping etc (Every cloud....)

They're out for sushi and where we live it's a 30 minute round trip to get a takeaway so I figured I'd spoil him and get something delivered. But I have no idea where to start. I'm aware of Just Eat, and he'd be thrilled if I got a McDonald's delivered, but I'd like to do better than that.

Dunno how much difference exact location matters but we're near the Caledonian Road. Islington-ish AIUI.

If you do a search of Just Eat by entering the post code you'll get around 250 delivery options of all kinds of cuisines.

Around the same as we get here in the East. smile

Treat him to a nice hot Thai something or other.

Have a look at Uber Eats. Usually offers for discounted delivery;

Another vote for Uber Eats. The main differential being the way they keep you informed about how far away the delivery is/how long it will take.

I travel a lot to London and having UE delivered to the hotel is so much easier than having to go out for food.

That's part of the issue! hehe

Found Pho round the corner - Vietnamese noodle soup that sounds perfect. Thankfully it's the more adventurous child so I'm not deciding between McD's and BK! eek

Nearly lost the will to live ordering as it wouldn't let me complete it until I clicked "add address" despite it prepopulating the field with the details I'd entered earlier. banghead

Salivating already! biggrin

Then call the resturant direct to arrange delivery so you don't have to pay Just Eat fees.

Their website is a pile of st. It broke on me a few years back so can't use it even if I wanted to.

When he texts you to say "he's outside" that means he's 5 minutes away.

I've used just eat a few times recently, seems to be lots of updating going on, although TBF I'm working until it arrives rather than waiting. Binned uber as when only half an order turns up and the driver indifferently walks away they have no effective way of engaging over it... Quick and efficient when taking your money eh.. (have no idea if just eat is any better in this regard but not had to find out)

I’m over in NW3 and Deliveroo has a better range and communication experience IME but my son, who lives with us, regularly uses Just Eat without major incident. His taste in cheap Chinese food is skankier than I am prepared to put up with, however.
