Kia Ceed Sportwagon - Auto
Discussion
The DCT7 doesn’t seem to have any particular reliability issues, but I believe it’s dry clutch so doesn’t take kindly to creeping uphill in traffic - not a KIA problem, that’s a characteristic to be expected.
It’s criticised for being a bit lethargic at times, but nothing you don’t get used to and sport mode (assuming you have it) makes a difference.
I wouldn’t worry about - it just gets on with the job.
On warranty, I think the clutches are only warranted for three years but I’m working from memory so best check.
It’s suffered from supply issues lately, hence being withdrawn from sale on the CEED and Stonic, for example - originally so that the new Sportage could be prioritised.
