Help with buying my second car
Discussion
Hi guys,
I'm in the market for a new car and have a budget of around 4-5k. I've listed some specs below to narrow it down a little. I've had my eye on the Citroen DS3 1.6 VTI but can't seem to find much information with regards to reliability. Any help would be much appreciated.
- Petrol as don't do long journeys
- Preferably a hatchback
- Something with around 100bhp or above
Thanks for looking

If you're going for the DS3 then go for the N/A 1.6 120 on as the 1.6T versions have timing chain issues, they can be sorted with some preventative work but just be aware.

Or it's cousin the 208 in Allure spec:

Now a car that I would look at is the Alfa Mito you can get them in outputs & they're a reliable car the 1.4T has proven itself as has the twin air.

As much as I'd love a Type R I just don't think I could keep up with the fuel demands.
I'll likely go for the DS3 1.6 VTI. It seems to have everything I'm looking for at quite a reasonable price and doesn't suffer with the timing chain issues like the 1.6T.
Thanks for the advice guys. Much appreciated.
