Just wondering because he's just moved into the flat below me, which I wouldn't have thought was within a musician's budget.
Its not vastly expensive, but not exactly cheap and most musicians I know aren't exactly coining it it.
Also, his music isn't very enjoyable coming through your bedroom floor at half one in the morning. And he has some fairly unconventional friends. Ho hum.

Can't imagine it'd sell huge volumes in any one country but I suppose if you add up all the cash from the different countries it sells in, it could lead to a reasonable profit.
I know Drum & Bass producers who have made a pretty decent amount of money that way.

Another dub head here... and can appreciate what you're saying about Perry.
However try his album 'Time Boom X - De Devil Dead' with Dub Syndicate. Utterly glorious, especially if you can get your head mid way between the speakers, the sound scape is astonishing - an example of exactly how music production should be done.

The first week was bad but I restrained myself to only complaining once. They've been away on tour off and on since then so not too unbearable.
However, on Tuesday there were naked people in the garden, which is a bit disconcerting given it is overlooked by houses where children live etc. It is however a very nice flat so he's clearly not some sort of scumbag, just a bit different.
He appears to be a producer as well so could be earning reasonable cash from that.
