Quick and comfortable crossover/small SUV - £20k?

I'm well aware this isn't a particularly 'PH' type of car, but with a track car in the garage I'm prioritising comfort on our rippled British roads for my daily driver! Currently I drive a Nissan Juke Nismo RS, and actually really enjoy its combination of hot hatch performance (215 bhp) with the extra level of ride comfort and practicality that a crossover has compared to a traditional hatchback. Ideally I'm looking for something similar but a little newer and a little more premium, as the interior on the Juke really is quite depressing, and I do miss having CarPlay.
However, my powers have deserted me and I'm really struggling to find anything. The closest I found on paper is the BMW X2 20i, a hatchback sized crossover with 190 bhp it should be a good choice, but I hear mixed things about both the ride comfort and general driving experience and as with many BMW's the spec tends to be worse than the Jukes! There is a 306 bhp M35i variant but sadly I haven't got the man maths to stretch that for.
So, the headline requirements are: petrol, 150+ bhp, comfort over outright handling performance, a decent spec if possible, ideally only a few years old and up to about £20k-ish. I don't need a full size SUV as I don't have a family or anything and I would like the option of it fitting in my garage if needs be from time to time (the Juke will).
I am wondering if I might be better off also considering more typical examples of hot hatches like the Golf GTI or even something like an Octavia VRS, which both tend to be good 'do everything' suggestions, but I also wonder if the suspension in something like that will be a little too firm for longer B road journeys, which tend to make up the majority of my trips?

SEAT Ateca 2.0 FR - there’s a version with the VW group EA888 engine with 190bhp. A basic remap would provide about 250bhp and 350lbft.

Recommend the Cupra, GTI, VRS, M135i/140i, S3 or 308GTI you won’t have an issue at all for long journeys as they are all comfortable and they eat miles.
Basically work out the same cost as a normal car as the above can all return 40mpg if required.
Cupra is a proper value for money option and will come with adaptive suspension. The 308GTI will come under your budget comfortably and has a nicer and better built interior than the others. Golf GTI comes with adaptive cruise control which makes long journeys a gift.
