My nearly finished home build. Had her for 4 years now and been a running/driving camping as we go build Persephone- a 1996 Peugeot boxer minibus conversion. 2.5 D non turbo very old school motor with only 112K miles.... Very slow but ultra reliable and average 35MPG. Fully insulated with a combination of rockwool and XPS: queensize fixed bed with hybrid SImba matress: 50 gallon/227 litre watertank/ 300watts of solar panel, one fixed, one mobile: 280Ah of leisure batteries ( 4x70Ah) 1500 watt inverter and an old school electrolux fridge from a scrap caravan[

Looks great, very bohemian.

Might be worth a perm fix of the solar on the roof? I have one on my horse lorry and was producing so much that the 100ah of leisure was barely ever touched even with the fridge etc running so any excess now charges the starter battery too.

The phtos do not show it, but there is a panel on the roof at the rear. and yes as long as it is daylight the panels produce more than we use.. with one of those wonderful switching devices we can direct energy to either the leaisure or starter batteries and stil use the charge controller to charge usb things such as laptoips and phones etc....

Sounds great.

I have split charge so driving the lorry also charges the leisure batteries.

When we go to 3 day horse events we normally have hordes of teenagers dropping by to put their phones on charge.
