Got a journey on Xmas day (long story for another day). Will M6/M1 services be open? It’s a 300 mile trip.

The main services on Motorways are required to be open even on Christmas day. That doesn't mean full facilities, but Toilet facilities, some food provision and fuel.

If the petrol station sells sandwiches and has a toilet that would cover everything, so if you've got a little one it's best to take some food/drink with you.

Impreza WRX.will do a healthy 240 miles per tank of delicious V Power, or 99 momentum.

Had mine for 7 years, even driving like my Dad, I only managed 278 miles before I bottled it, low fuel light on for 18 miles.

I’ve an 80 litre tank and the car is showing 310miles at the moment. I’m sure it’ll increase once I’m on the motorway.

300 miles one way by the way.

I had to drive from Poole to Edinburgh on Xmas day a few years ago when my dad passed away unexpectedly. The main motorway services had their petrol stations open. The smaller petrol stations were mostly shut after 6pm. The most annoying thing was the 60mph limit on smart motorways when they were practically deserted. Good luck and a safe trip.

Depends how you drive, full tank on my m140

They’ll be open OP, as above all the separate shops in side may not be but most petrol stations have food/drinks/toilets.

This is a plot to a potential movie. Good luck running the horror movie gauntlet!

Fair enough! I didn’t realise the range could be that low.
