£10k budget

I am on the lookout for a new car and have had to reduce my budget from £15k to £10k. The car needs to be euro compliant and have 5 doors.

Age wise doesn’t really matter petrol or diesel is fine. For context, I’m not driving much these days and do small journeries but happy to take the car a blast to clear its dpf.


Any suggestions ?

You'll have to be a bit more specific about being euro compliant. All cars since 1999 have been some kind of Euro compliant. Do you mean the latest standard, which is Euro 6? If so, you'll need to buy a car produced 2015 onwards.

If you are only doing small journeys, I'd avoid a diesel.

£10k will get you a couple of year old Astra. These are very good cars, but aren't very expensive.
