Gen 4 RAV4 or Honda CR-V ?

I’m thinking of replacing my 2010 Freelander 2 with either a RAV 4 (2014 - 2016 ish) or a CR-V of a similar age. I do about 15000 miles a year, ranging from about 10 miles into the local town to much longer trips to Scotland.
We live in the sticks down poor B / unclassified roads in North Wales, so 4x4 would be a bonus but decent tyres would probably be sufficient.
I have a light boat which I would need to tow occasionally.
Can anyone offer any recommendations or insights please ?

Given those choices, I’d stick with the Freelander.
Okay, it might be a bit heavier on fuel than the other two, but it’s a much nicer place to be in.
