Ignition barrel lock lube
Discussion
I've an old Hyandai used regularly but local trips. For the last 5-6 yrs the ignition lock is a bit sticky and some times fails to turn. Irritatingly Mrs PR can usually get it to work quickly, but she's not always there and it can take me ages.
I've tried some dry grafite powder lube, no real difference. Should I try something like this?

Or is it best to just replace the lock, concerned it'll let me down at an inconvenient moment.

A bit of silicone spray grease is often perfect.
This or PTFE spray.I thought that all locks should be lubricated with dry graphite powder, but when I last looked into it that no longer seems to be the case.
Or you could treat the car to a tank of super, whisper sweet nothings into its air filter then play with the radio knobs a bit before you put the key in...
