Result! My USB card reader started working today, so heres the photo I promised which was taken at my girlfriends place right after I finished building it (took no time at all) :)

The small ones that I bought break cloudbase, so Id imagine with a big wick this will have a range of quite a few miles!!
:bounce:

Just need to attach a roof, a wick, some flashing UFO lighs and we'll be ready to launch it over the nearest council estate to freak out the local pesants one night :hippy:

If that's the right way up, then who stuck a bed to your ceiling?

Now then Bob, having posted your piccie upside down and posted the immortal line 'it's the right way up', please do the following:

1. Place tongue into bottom lip and push out; and

2. Make 'uuuunnnnnggggg' noises at the next 5 people you meet

Excellent, you are so going to jail

That is considerably larger than the rocket we launched which got us into trouble.

Its a shame you couldn't have made it all in white. Would have been really spooky with lights in it then.

A common practise amongst Chimera owners?

I best speak to the chap who imports them, what kind of trouble did you get in? re: colours, it should be fine and will be very vible and glowing, should look ok.

Yeah, the circular frame forms the base where the burners will be attached The wood was from Focus, which whilst testing for flexability I accidentally snapped in half in the store

After carefully putting the broken pieces back, I grabbed two unbroken lengths of about 3 metres each paid for them, legged it, and just managed to squeeze them into the cerbera (passenger footwell to rear screen) which form the very sizable base.

Round the top, though? I could understand round the bottom, but not round the top. (Cross would probably be more weight-efficient btw?)

Sorry, I thought you meant round the top, before I turned the upside down pic the right way up. the circular top bit will be at the base, which will be erm, at the bottom when ive glued on a roof

You're nuts, you....

Just remembered a spate of these things several years ago in my neck o' the woods.

Area of dense Victorian terraced houses.....these flying firebombs kept coming down in back gardens and setting fire to such things as clothes out on washing lines, unwary cats, cars, etc, etc........

Several old ladies were said to have weed their pants....

When I was at glastonbury 2 portable (not portaloo, but massive tent type) were launched on ballons, they went up until they were out of sight. This was using huge helium balloons.
