A quick question: If I wasn't going to use my car for say a period of 2 months would I be best to leave the car on axle stands? Thanks

For 2 months I wouldnt bother, I'd just pump the tyres up to recomended max & leave it with a battery conditioner connected. However if you come back after 2 months and find you have had a slow puncture and now a tyre is shagged you will hate me, so might as well stick it up on axle stands and leave the wheels some where else. Then it wont matter & it will be practically theft proof to all but the most determined tea leaf

Alternatively you could lend it to me for the two mnths and I will make sure it is used regularly and keep an eye on all the levels and pressures for you

Speaking with 10 years experience of laying up a car for months at a time over winter without any preparation at all other than parking it in the garage and connecting a battery conditioner, it's an old wives tale that the tyres go square - they just don't. I wouldn't worry about it at all. It may have been true with crossplies a million years ago but it's no problem with modern tyres.

Agreed, two months isn't 'that' long. If you were leaving the country for a year I may suggest otherwise.
