2004 Boxster S - front slats removal

Hi,
Looking to fit grills behind the two outer orifices in the front of my 986 Boxster S (2004 model).. I'm getting conflicting info.
Do these horizontal slats pull out or is it necessary to remove the bumper.
Obviously removing the bumper will allow better access to the radiators.

Just to confirm, yes they do detach. Makes access to the rads easier to clean out, vacuum cleaner and a blow gun from the compressor to dislodge the leaves. Ne grills fixed in behind now.

You should separate the condenser and rad because most of the debris is at the rear part wedged between the 2.
