Made of rice flakes it seems typically, but how do they give it fishy taste?

some of the offerings are ok - in the 'white fish' sector, ignoring the awful fake tuna, but recently tried Birdseye take on it and was flavorless mush.

I know seaweed helps but doesn't seem to be in the ingredients of the nice fish analogues.

Any recommendations?

Slightly off topic, but what’s the point?
I was under the impression that highly processed food was bad for you.
Why would you want to eat highly processed mush, pretending to be something it isn’t, when you could simply eat the vegetables, which are good for you, apparently?
If you’re a veggie, eat veg, if you aren’t a veggie, eat fish!

Highly processed food is bad for you, but like everything it's fine as a treat. Don't think anyone's eating vegan fish as a health food.

Why eat processed burgers or sausages? If you want pork eat pork chop, if you want beef eat a steak using your example..?

Why eat it, to get the experience of eating fish and chips without eating dead flesh or contributing to already declining oceans for me.

A local chippy offered a vegan fish supper, aubergine wrapped in seaweed. **** me it was bad.

The stuff from Aldi and coop are alright.

Ethics innit?

Myself was just curious what they tasted like.
