Well after a bit of research I downloaded two of the best games apparently.

Into the Dead - blow the heads of zombies, don't move around very well, little control over the person, awkward to ....... well it was just a bit sh*t.

Then Altos Odyssey - ok if you're about 10 maybe, nowhere did it tell me what keys to use, bored in about 3 attempts.

Two of the best games to be played on Chromebook apparently...

That isn't much use.

Would there be any browser related games that you could try that don't really need much horsepower under the hood of your own machine?

I wonder if you could find a browser way of playing monkey island or something like that?

Chromebook is way down the list of items i would consider using for gaming but I appreciate you might not be in a position to choose.

Cheers

I don't have a Chromebook and only briefly dabbled on a Mac but GeForce Now appears to be available for Chromebook?

Well most of the free games are full of ads and options to buy upgrades, etc, which is kind of understandable.

Just downloaded GTA3 for a fiver !!

Takes me back a bit and the music is brilliant !!

Trying to play it on the keyboard is tricky so going to get a controller.

On my Chromebook I connect my Xbox controller via bluetooth and then play pretty much any "old school" game from the likes of Sega or Nintendo.

Not sure of the legality but if you search for "Play [old console game] online" there is no difficulty in finding them.
