Someone from the Tuscan forums got a 15k estimate for an engine job from them recently, and I think in the end he just went for a used replacement engine... has he got his car back yet?

We have used them for several short motors
found Adrian and his team to be very communicative providing a good service and the product was superb

This chap is the EX Henley Heritage owner.... with an ex TVR race engine guy, i think.

Would be interesting to know to what spec they rebuild them to.. the same TVR spec, (that failed) or something of their own design, ie does it address some/all of the issues in the Al Melling talk..

I wander, if NS has fired all the HARDCORE techies and dealerships, whats he left with? whats his goal?

To me it sounds like he wants to be the chief and only wants indians, no more chiefs. (in the business sense I mean)

I have a price list from Adrian, and struggle to see how the bill can come to £15k for just the engine rebuild. Engines are re-built to the same spec as TVR. This means the engine still produces the same power, the design is the same, but uses better quality parts. Plus the whole assembly is cleaned to ensure oilways etc are clean and not plugged with any crap.

They have done quite a few rebuids (maybe if these owners are on here they could post their views).

If I was going to have a rebuild - I would ask myself how many engines has Al Mellings re-built? With some of the design changes talked about - can Al M secure parts supply? And why did he part company with TVR and Adrian. For those who don't know he appproached Adrian first about the engine rebuild business venture.

Just my views

Geoff,

I've received 3 emails already explaining why they were struck off the dealership list.

If thats the case, no wander Melling never stayed with them.

Oh and I also remember using Henley Heritage a few years ago, my BIG FUSE blew (the alternator one) on the first cerbera, I received a bill for £320.

Went to Mole Valley when it blew again, and it cost, wait for it, £25 all in. And this time it lasted.

Sums it up nicely.

For those that weren't at the talk AM did say that he had spoken to quite a few companies about putting his designs into production/use but that he was happiest with what he say at A/C and the engineers there.
