I've been looking at a 2017 C220d AMG Line Estate and a 2016 320d M Sport Touring both with around 100k miles on them and similarly priced.

It's something I'd look to keep a year or 2 so will probably put another 10-20k miles on it but I was after some feedback in terms of reliability, what does/can go wrong at those mileages, anything I should look out for, and lastly would one be easier to sell than the other?

If you’re after reliability, Mercedes.

BMW will be a better drive but the Mercedes will be more reliable.

The BMW police car thread and the fact Addison Lee use E220d's as airport cars will tell you all you need to know. I have been in a number of 150/200k mile Addison Lee cars that still fell like they were new.

I used to have a 250d and loved it.

I’d recommend trying to get Premium Plus pack and not just Premium. The better quality centre screen is absolutely worth it alone.

For me the C Class would be the pick or the Passat BiTDI:
