Selling a car on behalf of mother in law

We have finally got my mother in law to accept that her driving days are over.
It is now parked in her garage and we have the keys and all documentation.
Wha it’s the process to sell on her behalf? Mrs 595 has Power of Attorney, but is this all we need? Do we need a signed letter of consent from MiL?
It’s a 16-plate Fiat 500 so should be pretty popular. Was thinking of sticking it on PH as this worked well for my last car. An alternative is to use it as a part ex for my new toy (if I ever decide what I want) and give her the. Part ex value as cash. Not sure if this makes it easier or not.

I’ve sold my late mothers car myself, no problem, to a private buyer. If you have the car, the keys and the V5 you should be fine, although I suppose a signed letter can’t do any harm.
I suggest advertising it on Facebook marketplace as “car”. You’ll get questions about anything you put in the advert anyway so don’t waste your time writing it.

I sold my fathers car on AT a couple of years ago. Price it a bit below what dealers are asking for similar model and mileage and it should get snapped up.
Don't worry about a letter signed by MIL, but having a utility bill or something of hers (or your wife's) to show prospective buyers should satisfy them that the car is family owned and not stolen.

Collected her car today (Dayinsure is a great concept!). Great drive home. Nowhere near as quick as my old 595 Comp but good fun - all about conserving momentum!
It needed a bit of TLC…
