Radiator in the US

Hi guys,
Doing some annual maintenance on the Chim and noticed that the radiator fins are rotten, no leaks at present. I’m looking for a record possibility but also looking for a new radiator source in the US. Do any of the land rover radiators fit / work? Something like this

Maybe try to get yours repaired as I believe the Tvr one is modified to fit so won't be a standard item.

The replacement radiator would need to be absolutely the same size and dimensions as the original including piping outlets especially the bottom hose fitting as space is very tight down there.
Also your Tvr rad uses two built in lugs at the bottom to locate it into the body and two fixing points on the sides to hold it in position.

The original although very heavy is a good unit so get it re cored.

Dale - just get it recored. Greenwood Radiator does the work for Lamorna Garage, the local classic Land Rover specialist. Not cheap but probably the easiest option.

None of the Range Rover versions work. I got a "direct fit" (lol) replacement from Parts for TVRs which was actually reasonably priced, even with shipping to the US, but predictably needed some modification at the attachment points to fit into the car. If you're willing to deal with that you might try this, but if you re-core your existing radiator you at least know it'll fit right.

Good time to do the silicone hose kit as well.

A mate had a radiator repaired recently by a local firm I was amazed at how reasonable it was. Obviously the place he used would be no good for you but you'll likely have a decent place not to far away. That will probably be the most cost effective way and I've heard stories of alloy ones cracking.

I too can recommend a radiator builder. I last gave away the radiator of my Grantura for overhaul. It was a take out, take in job. Everything fitted perfectly. And the part, fitted with a new pipe network, not only looked like new, it also works perfectly again. And the whole thing was priced (around 120€) much lower than a new radiator. However, I don't know where I would get a new radiator for the Grantura.
