Been looking at speccing a 992 GTS and just wondering whether it is worthwhile getting front end ppf done at factory (circa £1,500). Be interested to here from anyone who has got factory ppf, i.e. is it any good, or better to get it done after purchase etc?

I recall some folks posting pictures of the official Porsche ppf not being folded around seams. Therefore, prone to dirt collection. However, I have seen on the German forums that many take it. The the price is the same with many detailers; however, they may have longer guarantees and maybe able to resolve issues first hand, rather than a OPC farming the work out.

Mine came with a dirt inclusion on the front bumper, which they paid to have replaced by local installer.

Yes it doesn't wrap round, but my installer was relatively impressed with the factory result (when he extended the shark fins on rear arches, A pillars and roof).

Get it done by independents rather than the factory. Your OPC will arrange the works be carried out once its delivered.

You'll get a better job, and probably cheaper.
