Wondering if anyone can give some advice on an issue I have with above?
I purchased an electrical item (£80) over 90 days ago through E bay that the seller has kindly agreed to refund on return. Item has been returned, but as it’s over 90 days seller can’t make a refund to my PayPal as E bay won’t allow it. So he asked for my PayPal details to make the refund, but E bay keep deleting my replies as it contains contact details, i.e. my email address. Is there any way for me to contact seller and sort it out? Obviously I don’t have his email details neither and it seems like all messages are being monitored now as I’ve had a reply telling me if I keep trying to message with contact details my account will be suspended.

This doesn't sound right. If you paid via PayPal then the seller will have your details on their PayPal account. They can just find your £80 payment and then refund it. The only small issue is the fees; as one of you will be missing out on a % of the purchase price.
No need to involve ebay at all
No need to involve ebay at all
Even if you pay for an item using PayPal, the payments now go through the Ebay payment system, they take the money and pay out the seller, been like this for a year or so now.
OP as above, are you messaging via the Ebay messaging service? Are you using the item number, or contacting via the 'contact seller' on the item you purchased? You should be able to exchange a phone number or email.

Thats not the case because ebay do managed payments for sellers, No need to involve ebay at all
Even if a buyer pays with PayPal now that money goes via eBay payment system not directly to the seller and then ebay release the funds the following day as a payment to the seller, the transaction shows on the sellers bank account as a payment from ebay.
EBay brought it in some time ago in attempt to cut PayPal out of the loop.

I’ve tried both EBay message and contact seller, same result. I’ve also tried sending my mobile number, same result, deleted within seconds. I’ve been successful with my message telling him I’ll send a letter so I’ll leave it at that, thanks for all the help.OP as above, are you messaging via the Ebay messaging service? Send a photo of your details, use spaces on your email address and avoid @ and dot etc or send your phone number using alternative spellings for the numbers

Another way is for the seller to do a private listing just for you for, say, .99p. When you buy it you will then be a fully paid up customer with all the relevant contact details.

Letter went off today with all the details and seller is aware it’s on its way, so all sorted now. Thanks again everyone.
