Chaps, advice please, I’ve received the bezel insert for my 55 fathoms homage, but need to remove the bezel to fit it, I’ve tried prying with a pocket knife but it’s not budging, is there a tool for the job?

You’ll likely need some nail polish remover.

Pour some in a pot and soak the watch, face down for as long as it takes to soften the glue. Could take 10 mins, could take an hour. You only need the bezel covered so in a couple of mm in a small tub. There are plenty of videos on YouTube.

Try a couple of guitar picks, I read this on a watch forum and had great success using them on one of my Vostok watches.

Get the tip under the edge and work it under, use a second to work round and it should pop off. Being platic they won't damage the case.

Likely the bezel insert is glued but you'll know once the bezel is off the watch.

Thanks, I managed it with a pocket knife, just had to man up and use a bit more force.
