Close to Annual Allowance - best to salary sacrifice or net?
Discussion
I am extremely close to hitting the annual allowance and have no carry over from previous years available.
Salary is approx 120k, currently sitting at 36000 contributed this year (plus 2700 being paid in end of this month).,
Just trying to work out what is the least painful option.
I can swap to paying net (employer match to in 2% increments, up to 8%) or continue to salary sacrifice.
Should I just not pay anything in at all until end of tax year, which could be 1.5% via salary sacrifice or similar?

Presume you mean £36000 as the AA is £40k?
Pay up to £40k then stop and take the rest as income. Ask your employer if they will pay the expected Employer's contribution (or a nominal amount) as income.
Doh, editted!Pay up to £40k then stop and take the rest as income. Ask your employer if they will pay the expected Employer's contribution (or a nominal amount) as income.
Just so I have the right end of stick, take January's payment to bring me to £39.5 then switch to 0% until April?
Ha, I can always ask if they would like to pay that, likely to be a 'no thank you' though!
