I had a 2019 version so just dug out the invoice.
Fairly well specced as standard but mine had the Premier Audio ( I’ve upgraded to this on all my Astons’s ) , extra body pack was black gloss painted ( I think this looked pretty decent but not necessarily needed ) , rear diffuser insert and blades painted body colour, comfort pack , sports plus pack ( gives you the better seats etc ) , 20 inch wheels , sports / Alcantara interior ( I have a fetish for Alcantara so again not necessarily everyone’s cup of tea ) smoked rear lights , embroidered wings on the headrests and black bonnet meshes.
Most models will have been specced pretty well - I doubt any Aston ever bought as is ( same as with Porsche etc ) so might come down to picking the colour you prefer !

I heard both on my first and decided then then any others I bought would all have it - is it worth the extra money , probably not and obviously depends on how much you listen to it anyway.
I would guess on resale it might make a small difference but colour would usually be slightly more of a issue.
Maybe go to Aston Martin Works and see what they have in stock.

Be careful, the very early cars around 2018 had items that became quickly standard still as options and there does seem to be some floating around that on the face of it look the same.

For example missing electric steering column and cruise control, glass switches, 360 cameras, quad exhausts were all options on the earliest cars.

Having spoken to a few sales people the non quad exhaust, missing glass switches, 360 cameras and something that is still an option sports plus seats makes cars hang around for ages. So make sure imo it has all of them, you may like the normal seats but personally I hated them.

There is some rare options like the perforated leather, additionally without Q I don't believe you can get the alcantara and leather headliner like earlier cars now. It is rare, but was a nice surprise on mine to be specified, otherwise you just get micro mesh or alcantara.

I also hated the GT steering wheel (circular), the sports wheel is more common luckily.

I liked the alcantara dash and seats, but being a daily driver it simply is not practical. The leather is semi aniline and beautiful.

Ninja’s points on the earlier 2018 models are well made although don’t necessarily agree on the Alcantara seats not being practical daily.
I had lightweight versions in Alcantara on my V12S which was my daily - even with no seat heating they were fantastic and looked as good as new when I sold.
Equally on the new vantage , they wore extremely well and personally found them more comfortable than the leather whilst ( imho obviously ) looking more suited.

I am glad it lasted well, I was far too nervous to get a car with it and the material look worn very quickly.

I assume its a V8 then that you are looking at rather than a V12? By 2018, the V12 had Premium as standard fit.

The standard audio is terrible, whereas premium and B&O are both fantastic. Lots of people here may say just listen to the engine, which whilst true, in that the engine is an aural delight, I would say that if you are bothered enough to ask about the lack of premium audio, then you will really miss it and I would suggest you keep hunting.

The difference is night and day unfortunately between the two.

As mentioned about the lightweight CF bucket seats are absolutely superb and actually far more comfortable than the std "sports" seats, for all but the very largest of people. They are however quite uncommon an V8's but not impossibly rare. Again well worth waiting for the right car with them fitted!

A full single colour Alcantara headliner was standard - I don't believe micro mesh was ever even offered.

The seperate outer and inner headliner colours was always an option, but rarely specified by either dealers or customers.

I believe to have half of it in leather or indeed two colours of alcantara then you had to purchase the "two colour interior pack" at £495.

That option would also allow you to specify two different colours or materials for the seat / enviro - upper and lower as it was called. If you then wanted alcantara in these areas as one of the materials rather that just two colours of leather then you had to pay a further £995 for either or both of the enviros in alcantara - one fee covered all combinations.

I might be wrong Adam, but thought the topic was about the new Vantage, in which case the V12 came much later.

oh, my apologies, it likely is! In which case disregard ALL of my posts above.

That said I think I am not the only one confused as the discussion on LW seats I think set me off on the wrong track....

Thanks for the replies, some things to think about. The dealer has 2 in stock with slightly different spec so I can see how the 2 compare. I’m not a huge audiophile but the sound system in my f type was absolutely rubbish so hoping the set up is better in the Aston

I bought a 1 year old car so had to make some tradeoffs regarding options.

Key for me were:

exterior color, interior color and material of interior and stitching.

Then I had to take what I could find after a nationwide search...well...actually I bought my car in Canada and had it shipped to the US because it was a better match regarding options. It had a lot of options but still missing a few I would have preferred

I like Alcantara interiors but my Porsche, which I owned concurrently had Alcantara, so I needed something different. Besides, I think the Aston just looks a whole lot better with full leather rather than the Alcantara mix...personal opinion. There was a car the identical color about 100 miles away from me that was less money but it had Alcantara interior and no black roof so I passed and shipped my car pretty much from the west coast of Canada to the east coast of the US.

MUST HAVES for me turned out to be:

glass buttons ( it was an option on the early cars, I think it was included with the technology pack)
full leather/deviated stitching
blackpack/black roof
Sport seats and steering wheel

The rest of the options I could live without, and did in some cases.

e.g. my car didn't have the premium audio which I would have preferred. However, when I got it home and tested it side by side with the Bose in my Porsche, the Aston base was better so I learned to live with it.

My car didn't have quad exhaust but I was not needing a louder car and I have no issues with the looks of the dual exhaust.

carbon or aluminum door sills....I'll get around to putting then in sometime. I got a great deal on some carbon ones but they arrived damaged and haven't found another decent deal. It's on the back burner for me to try to 3d print some....that might be a long shot.

IMO, It's worth waiting and shopping to get the options you really want but be realistic that getting EXACTLY what you want is like looking for a needle in a hay stake and most likely to lead to a lot of shopping and no buying.

Not sure this helps as I have been looking and finally picked up a car last week.

The essentials I was looking for...

Darkened jewellery pack
Black upper and lower body pack
Larger wheels 21"
Interior : Inspire with contrast stitching

Other options would be a bonus and or a compromise.

I ended up with a virtually new car which has more standard equipment than the 2018's such as double exhaust 360 cameras etc...
