Has anyone replaced their heater fan with an equivalent or better unit?

If so, can you point me in the right direction of a replacement?

Any part numbers?

Thanks. I wonder what the Spal part number is, I can’t quite make it out from the photo?

I know it’s a horrible job, I have already done it once when I was doing the rebuild, not looking forward to tackling it again!

Do you mean the SPAL fan?

From what I can see the markings are:
009 - A70 - 74D 12v

E1 10R 04678 (possibly followed by a 1, but very faint)

N. WO 10280247

There's also a number 1590 top right.

Here some further pics from the TVR Forum http://www.tvr-forum.de/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=1...

There it was a Bosch engine:

Should be fairly easy to identify, just check sizes.
Wiring is fairly standard and easy to modify.

Thanks. I had seen that fan already. I Googled the part number for it and then looked at the spec and it has a maximum draw of 19.9A. My concern is the TVR circuit has a 15A fuse on it, so not sure if the cables would take the extra load?

Knowing Tvr it's probably borderline!

That’s what worries me about that fan, it pulls nearly 20A

You could eliminate the highest speed which i would guess pulls the most current.
May be worth putting the question to the seller.

Nothings melted yet with the motor that I got from racetech yet as far as I know, hasn't blown the fuse and no weird smells. It is a horrible job though, it all barely fits back in the hole and you need to silicone everything to oblivion or it just won't blow the air where you want it too.

I should have really balanced a ruler or something on the motors when I took those photos, hindsight and all that.
