Anyone Got An Aqua Terra?
Discussion
A Seamaster 300 seems the obvious choice for an Omega, but I'm also considering an Aqua Terra 150m.
I do have a Christopher Ward AT "homage" (it's even called 'Sealander' FFS
), and I don't have anything that looks like a Seamaster, although I do have several dive watches.
Opinions on the AT? Grey dial, or green? I do like the Golf Edition, although I'm not a golfer and I don't like 'personality' tie-ins.

Hi Doofus,
Someone on my half price Rolex thread recommended this (@ £5.2k)
I've used this US supplier and during the ordering they add all customs charges etc into one bill (I'd guess total charge is £4.2)

Yes, here's mine, I love it, it also flies under the radar a bit, works in all situations, can dress it up / dress it down. Online pictures of the dial dont do it justice IMHO its the dial that really stands out in sunlight, natural light.

Lovely. It's that sublety I'm after.

The grey is more unusual, I think. But that green is calling...

Love mine.
I really notice the difference in quality of the polishing, brushing of the case and printing of text on the dial compared with my Longines.
I couldn’t get the bracelet to fit properly and didn’t really like the clasp so I wear it on a strap.
I think you could get a good discount on the AT as well.

I bought mine ex-display at the end of 2021, it came on an Omega tan leather strap.

I really wanted one on the black strap with orange stitching but the Omega one was just too much for me so bought a carbon effect black leather strap from Steveostraps

I couldn't countenance that sort of expenditure on a watch, but if I was going to, I'd want that - it looks awesome...

...on the tan strap. In my humble opinion, the new strap doesn't suit it at all and looks like something you'd see in H Samuels

No offence intended, very jealous of a very classy watch!

I’ve got the blue dial too, OP it is beautiful. I think the grey and green will soon date, but I do like the white dial blue baton. I would look at the 39mm as well sometimes mine just feels a bit big.

As I said, I have a blue dialled watch (the Formex). We're looking at the grey AT, and around CA$5,400 (£3,200), apparently. I'll accept an element of 'dating' for that sort of price. I couldn’t get the bracelet to fit properly and didn’t really like the clasp so I wear it on a strap.

Don't think you can go wrong with an IWC
What did you go for? I would love to have the disposable to get the "lake Tahoe" edition but it isn't very versatile.
The AT dial really does change in the light, quality item.

a NOS Limited Edition IWC Ingenieur Vs the most similar Aqua Terra,
Objectively with the 8900 movement & deployent clasp the Omega is the better buy ... but I don't have an IWC

That Lake Tahoe .. very nice
I went to see the white one at the weekend, really wanted to like it. I came away a bit underwhelmed, I'm not sure why.
The dial was more silvery than bright white, and it just didn't look 'good' enough to justify the price IMHO. I also thought I would prefer the 38mm (size and colour), but even on my skinny wrist it looked small. And I wanted a white dial, but don't really like the orange.
I think part of the issue is that all the photos you see are really close up, showing all the amazing detail and texture. And then in real life, it's really small, so like a GS you really need to look closely to appreciate it. From a distance it just didn't look that special.
