Star rated tyre worse?

Need to buy 2 new rears for my car, BMW. Black circles have a good deal on today so about to purchase.

Slightly confused by the imagery on their website indicating worse ratings for economy and rain performance against the star marked tyre?

Would it not be the same or improved over a non star? Or how much different will it be in real terms?



Also star marked I'm sure tend to cost more so strange they are so much less in this case.

I assume the star tyre has been optimised for say dry weather performance whereas standard tyre is more balanced towards general usage therefore improved economy and wet weather performance...
