Hi Guys,
When the weather conditions are cold and windy, I would usually wear my trusty North Face wind proof fleece. Sadly, as I have worn it often for many years, it is now getting past it. Consequently, I am looking for recommendations for a replacement. Ideally, I would like one with the same windproof layer, i.e. Gore windstopper, as my North Face fleece, but all positive recommendations will be gratefully received.
Cheers
G

P. S. Mods if this is in the wrong place, please move. Thanks.

What's wrong with another NF fleece?

I've been very impressed with the Decathlon Quechua branded soft shells we've got the kids. More showerproof than the Rab one I have that was twice the price.

Sailing gear is what you want. Stick with Musto / Gill and you won’t go wrong.

Absolutely nothing, except they don’t seem to use Gore Windstopper anymore, which is what I really want.

Thanks for all the suggestions so far.

I like a Sprayway fleece. Have always found them to be very good. Alternatively, RAB.

+1 for Sailing gear. I have a windproof Holebrook cotton jumper and its not only stylish but absolutely the mutts nuts at keeping the chill out.

I got one of these Mountain Warehouse fleeces a couple of years ago, as my previous windproof Sprayway one had finally worn out.

It has proved to be very warm (occasionally too warm), and in particular windproof, probably due to an incorporated membrane.

Highly recommended, and currently reduced by 30% to £56 on the above Amazon link.

More info on the Mountain Warehouse website, although buying from their website is full RRP (£80)
