It’s no surprise really, is it. He’s looked like he’s one step away for the past ten years.

When he was bungeed to a trampoline at the Commonwealth games it was obvious he wasn’t up to touring any more.

I bought tickets in 2018 but managed to get a refund on first postponement. Writing was on the wall even then.

Not a fan but I can appreciate his popularity more now as a sort of shambling loveable chap who always claims to be wasted.
If I recall he was the one saying black sabbath should carry on after that recent comeback. Meanwhile the rest of the band were not keen being as they play the instruments properly while he just blunders around on stage mouthing the odd lyric . No wonder he was more up for it.
I will always be a fan of the songs. From 50 years ago.
I reckon he decided to clock off after the recent Jeff Beck loss.

Yep same here. Though I was more interested in seeing Judas Priest. I hope they arrange a UK headlining asap

I also bought tickets in 2018 but held onto them in hope, although I knew it was probably unlikely to go ahead.

It's a shame for it to end that way as you can tell Ozzy loves being on stage, but I don't think he's got long left so he deserves a rest after 50 years.

Luckily, I saw Black Sabbath in 2017.

Very sad. I remember seeing Motorhead for the umpteenth time and thinking they were just going through the motions.

Some bands just don't know when to call it a day.

Kiss for one.
Oh and I wish Status Quo would fk off. Rossi has been topping up his pension for years. That's from someone that has seen them 15+ times including the 'end of the road' tour in 84.

I stopped going to see Motörhead about five years before Lemmy carked it, he was obviously not a well man, and Phil and Mikkey were exchanging looks. I don't think they wanted to be there, but just kept going to keep Lemmy happy. Painful to watch at times.

Haven't Kiss finally called it a day now? I though tthey finally threw in the (make up smeared) towel.

Had to happen for Ozzy in the end. Now he can finally relax, looking more like Alice Cooper wearing an Ozzy face mask if recent pictures of him I've seen are anything to go by.

I think that they're on their final, final, FINAL goodbye tour (mind you knowing them they'll franchise the name so that you'll be able to see an 'official KISS' for the next 75 years....

I saw him in Newcastle in, iirc, 1984 'Blizzard of Oz tour' and he looked like death warmed up back then. That he's still tottering around today is nothing short of remarkable.

I've always liked Kiss but dear god that's a grim thought. They sort of did that it with Ace Frehley and Peter Criss' alter egos didn't they so I wouldn't put it past them!

I can hear it now...."You wanted the best... you got a franchised version of the best....the most licenced band in the world...official Kiss! "

Paul Stanley now has backing vocals and mimes. There is a funny youtube video where it fails and you hear his current voice. Its woeful.

Best line I ever heard Ozzy come out with (whilst talking about Evangelical preachers)......

"And these are the type of guys who say if you listen to the likes of Ozzy Osbourne you sure are going to go to Hell...... Well if that's the
case we're gonna have a fking good old time down there". beer
