I think it's no exaggeration for me to profess my immediate love for that thar elevated rear 3/4 view of the silver Boxster S's aspect.
Purrfection. The man known as Don must be dribbling with, anticipation!
I am currently attempting to work...badly. Will I sleep tonight? I don't think so. Its like three birthdays and Christmas rolled into one.
Yes yes yes.

Hmmm , black suits it much better the first pics of it in silver were truly horrible silver is just not its colour , it has grown on me a little as the shock wears off but ,,, hmmm let me see ,, nope it looks like a 911 on stilts too much air under the front of it ,im sure it is a fine car from a dynamic point of view but if i wanted-needed such a vehicle i would go for the X5 4:6i .

I was talking with my dealer. He had an interesting POV on the Cayenne - said he'd taken 70 orders for it already - no test drives!
He was told Porsche looked on the Cayenne as a their attempt to make a car that went and handled as close to a 996 as they could make it but sat 5 adults in comfort and took their luggage. They don't really see it as an off-roader.
In that light its probably a good attempt. I don't want one myself though....
Agree with all the sentiments the silver Boxster does look the dogs nads. But heck, I would say that, wouldn't I ?
Bet it's red leather inside too....
Don, all the very best and good luck to you sir. I'm insanely jealous that you've gone and got a brand new 'un. Report as soon as you can muster please !

Don't knock them, we need people like this!
Speaking as someone who works in the boom then bust Telecoms industry I know first hand that the Global economy is having a few jitters at the moment. If the Cayenne means Porsche can remain healthy by relieving these people of their money, and in the process keep building the sort of cars most people on here are interested in, then all well and good.
In the meantime I will keep driving my 930 Turbo for fun, using my £2k BMW estate on the rare occassions I need to carry luggage and keep on dreaming of that elusive step up to a GT3!

We saw a Turbo three weeks ago going round a roundabout at high speed just outside Jerez, and it looked much better on the move than it does in the pictures. That one was metallic dark blue.
I saw a few LHD Cayenes at my local OPC the other week when taking my 993 in for wiring loom work. The thing is not high on my list of must-haves but I was impressed with it when it was close up. It didn't look the fat arsed donkey that it does in some pictures - even in silver.
I don't inted on buying one (like its an option anyway !) but it seemed rather nice in the flesh.
