An L-Driver's first ever lesson in parallel parking landed instructor mit a parking ticket.

(Only in England - you could not make it up!)

(In today's "Express" -page 37)

The 17 year old BSM pupil kept stalling as she tried to reverse into a space - in total three attempts.

The efforts were captured on CCTV  :banghead: :furious: und the council "offishulls" decided that it "constituted long enough to qualify as parking" :ranting:

First the ADI knew about this was when he received the parking ticket! It was in Camden.

He said - his puipl had a few goes but this did not constitute any parking offence. She was very upset when she found out about this ticket. She had to wait for pedestrians and other traffic before she could reverse into the space as well. We were only there for ten minutes... :furious: It really beggars belief :furious: :ranting: I thought these CCTV cameras were there to catch criminals and not learner drivers. () I really could not belieeeeeeeve it"

The ADI wrote a letter to the council who did revoke the fine - eventually.

Council Offishull: "Given the circumstances - we are pleased to be able to offer our discretion...."

But it should not have been issued in first place!
 Muppets!

A camera does not think or show discretion.

My appeal system would involve a white hot poker and the offishuls anus. This kind of shit makes me so mad. I am paying for people to be petty minded useless little bastards while the roads go unbuilt, the hospitals go uncleaned and criminals go unpunished. It really is time the lynch mob hung a few of these wnakers.

nonegreen.

Wouldnt recommend your "Appeals Process". Some people I work for in the Public sector would probably like that sort of thing..........

Good to know CCTV keeps Britain Safe...

Now, what is keeping us safe from the fwits who operate the CCTV.

You know as well as I do they were hoping the ADI would just pay up......

But the camera is operated by a human who manually issues the ticket!

Same with the hatched junction and bus lane offences, all manually processed by the CCTV operator as far as I know.
