Cartridge/gun type I.D
Discussion
This is a long shot if anyone is knowledgeable with this .I found what I think is a part of a 9mm gun cartridge on the beach or maybe part of the gun barrel .just interested to know what gun it came from
It’s got a solid copper driving band and reads
LOT M
9
Base material steel with a black material layered over

Indeed. Clearly fired, what are the measurements especially diameter of the base ?
I believe it’s the middle of a bullet of some type .possibly ww1 .the 9 on it seems to relate to a 9 calibre gun and measures that on the inside barrel, the copper also has 9 markings .nute said:
Unusual for a bullet to have anything stamped on it but that looks way to big for anything handheld.
