I need some new ones (not because of any traumatic motoring-related incident).

In the past I've bought M&S black trunks but they quickly lose their elasticity. Want the same style with better longevity. Not looking to spend the earth.

Any recommendations?

Step one. They're not cheap but amazingly comfy and I wouldn't buy anything else now

Other way round for me - I'm old but never had to ask before.

No fking involved, sadly.

I like boody, made from bamboo viscose, very comfortable. I think the oldest pair I have is a couple of years old and I couldn't pick them out of the pile of newer ones.

Ah, the story of my life - trying to find comfortable undies.

I tried Asos and while they were initially ok, after a few washes they became rather uncomfortable and I found myself 'falling out' of them lol.

I settled on: (the Jockeys I have bought for years, but with the Armani brand I though I'd try something different)

Jockey Cotton+ brief

Probably sounds a bit chavvy for PH but Emporio Armani

Both the above are comfortable and wear well.

I'm guessing the M&S trunks didn't have proper Lycra through them?

Ah. Good point. No, they were pure cotton (5 for £18).
