Yet another eBay Q!

Just being cautious. Yesterday I sold a car stereo on eBay and the buyer has paid the £48 by PayPal, fine.

He is asking me to send the item to a different person at another address in the same town. Should I do this or insist I can only send it to the buyer - I'm thinking of seller protection etc if anything goes wrong.

If you have the money in the bank does it matter where you send it? Personally I can't see a problem with this.

Are you sending it recorded delivery?

No, send it only to the address registered with Paypal, or your seller protection is void.

Its paypal, not a bank.

Just watch that money leave your account if the buyer sends paypal an email saying non-receipt. You won't have any proof of sending to that address so bye bye money...

That's what I thought. It might be OK but then again it might not be.

NB: They have FB of 150+ and over 99%. I have asked another seller who sold a similar item to them if it went OK - if they say yes I think that's reasonable.

I have an ebay store with that sort of fb they are kosha..........
if in doubt ask the person why they want the item sent to an alternative address.
it may be because they work and will not be in..
I have sent items to work addresses upon advice.
in over a year of ebay i have only come across one con merchant and one wingher.Most people are kind and honest...

You could always ask them to pay for special delivery to the alternative address

Paypal has the facility to register multiple addresses. As long as the address details have come in the PAypal email confirming payment, there shouldn't be a problem. I hardly ever get stuff sent to my home address, as I'm at work all day.
