Hi All,

Just about to start on a fuel system for a turbo LS build. Where are people buying reasonably priced AN fittings and line from? Torques on eBay seems to come up frequently but it is notably more expensive that some other vendors. Obviously I don't want to fit stuff will leak and be dangerous but equally I'm never a fan of paying more for the sake of it!

Any suggestions are welcomed.

The set up will be two walbro 450's, staged, in tank pumps going through AN8 feed with an AN6 return.

The two pumps are probably overkill but would rather have the extra pump just in case and avoid the dreaded fuel system issues that are frequently seen in Dyno sessions!

I’ve used Torques for some major projects in the past, and they have always been great.

I've used Torques stuff from ebay for my NA LS build.

It's frankly cheap compared to 'proper' fittings like Earls and so on, I wouldn't want to go any cheaper for anything that'll hold fluids you'd rather keep off hot things. If you want AN hose for your washer fluid, by all means go full Chinesium, although if you're going red/blue, they fade a fair bit with time / heat.

The anodising on the Torques ones doesn't take kindly even to an aluminium AN spanner, but the bits don't seem to leak, including the power steering hose I made, which sees a lot more pressure than the fuel line I made. That incedentally did leak a bit, but entirely my own doing, funnily enough once tightened up properly it was fine.

I found the swivel fittings can 'feel' a bit nasty when tightening and you need to sort of support the hose end of the fitting when tightening to ensure it seals properly, but I think they're pretty good.

Torques is a local company to me and recently I have got most of my fuel and brake lines and fittings from him. Any issue and Alex has sorted it quickly and for me just a pop over the mountain to change or pick something up quickly.

Asked this before elsewhere and the general answer was...... Torques.

And haven't had any issues with them.

Never had a issue with Torques stuff and my car has about 40 plus fittings.

All I will say with any kind of AN fitting is to lubricate the threads.

Goodridge and earls are just too dam expensive but are probably made in the same Chinese factory.
