Hello Pistonheads...

I'm currently creating a racing game IP that will, I hope, become The Sopranos of it's kind and I'm currently in the process of world building.

I wanted to use the existence of dfferent car cultures as a focal point of the plot in the series and there are 3 that come to mind that I wanted to focus on, and they are :

JDM/Import Tuning (Toyota, Honda, Nissan, Mazda, Mitsubishi, Subaru)

Muscle Cars/Pony Cars (Ford, Chevrolet, Dodge, Pontiac, Plymouth, Buick, AMC))

Exotic/Supercars (Porsche, Ferrari, McLaren, Lamborghini, Aston Martin, Jaguar)

AND

European Tuning (There is overlap between this subculture and Exotics/Supercars as many brands such as BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Audi etc are known for making Supercars as well as "tuners" but brands like Volkswagen, Lotus, Peugeot, Citroen, Renault etc seemed to mostly make sports cars that are accessible in comparison)

As well as an Off-Roading spin-off I am thinking about, so anyone who resides within the SUV/Off-Roading realm is welcome to comment too, but it's been very trying to find information on the lore and history of them, so I just wanted to ask the subreddit if there is anything they know firsthand or empirically about these four groups, specifically Exotic/Supercar tuning culture and European car tuning culture, and, more pertinently, where do you think the future of these subcultures will go?

Another quite specific scene is the Australian burnout scene.
