Having been puffing away on cigarettes for the past 30 years i've finally given them up by using Iqos heated Tobacco. Vaping and nicotine gum/patches have failed before so i'm pretty pleased and plan to reduce the strength before stopping using them. Anyone else have experience with using them?

Can't help you. The only way I stopped was by going cold turkey. Good luck.

I lived in Japan where these things started, various different mechanisms for heating at different temperatures but never really liked any of them as much as my cigarettes.
At the same time I was using Snus, for flights, conferences, hotel rooms etc, any time where I could t smoke but wanted nicotine.

I tried gum and patches over the years and did t get on with them. Eventually when I moved back to the UK I used the tobaccoless snus and now haven’t smoked for over 12 months.
Now, I would never go back to cigarettes and I love the snus. My guess is it’s super addictive but massively healthier than vaping and heated tobacco.

You could try them as you are weaning yourself off, it takes some getting used to, but nothing like a long haul flight to get used to it, would recommend

Bought one of these a while back.
Thoroughly unpleasant and unsatisfying in my experience.
Also brought on fits of coughing.

If it works for you then all good, but this and vaping don't work for me at all.

Regarding previous mention of long haul flights; I can sit perfectly comfortably on a flight from London to Vancouver. No thoughts of smoking at all.
But as soon as I get outside I light one up and enjoy it. Go figure.

Car journeys; in a non-smokers car I'm fine. In my own car it's 10-20 fags/100 miles.

I've had one for around 3 years now and I must say I am a big fan. One qualifier is that I haven't used them to quit, more to massively reduce my Marlboro Red intake and they have been pretty successful at that. There are times where I still prefer an "analogue", bit I find them far preferable to vapes as they still taste like a cigarette.

Only real negative of them is the smell - especially the Amber and Yellow Selections, and if you haven't cleaned it in a while. I've moved over to Teak Selection now and they are far less offensive, with the odd Sienna for a change.

I do like the nicotine patches for flights and meetings etc. Places round here only do the Extra Strong ones, which can blow your head off if you're not careful, however from what I've seen they are far less risky than Heets/Vaping.

Agree about the smell although I find the Teak ones more unpleasant and a bit to strong. I've been using the Iqos as a craving suppressant which seems to work. Only concern I have is whether i'm exposing myself to a whole new range of chemicals different and possibly better than normal cigarettes...
