Battery Operated Jet Washer

Hi

I currently have a Nomad 18v Jet Washer that leaks and is no longer supported for spares. I live in a 4th floor apartment so I have to use battery power. I have looked online and there are lot's of options. Any recommendations on what to buy or what not to buy?

It is only for my car/bike so not too bothered about power. I will be using a snow foam so a soap adaptor is essential.

I use it with a 3 litre lemonade bottle of water attached, but it can suck water from a bucket if you prefer. Works better than I thought it would to be honest.

I have a Worx Brushless. I bought a 25 litre water drum for £5 on Facebook Marketplace to go with it. Washing a large car properly with the Worx uses about 15-20 litres. It's OK, and I would compare it to a really really cheap pressure washer. I think Makita do a cordless jet washer too. It comes with 2x 2.0Ah batteries and each one lasts about 1.5 cars!

If you have no other choice, then cordless is the best option.

Another vote for the Worx cordless, does a pretty good job. I tend to get through a couple of large buckets of water to clean the car

Another thought, if you don't want to go through multiple buckets/bottles of water, is a rinseless wash, something like Optimum No Rinse.

I've had the Worx one for a few years now and it does ok but the pressure isn't great at all. More useful for rinsing than actually getting anything off the car, however, this one seems much more powerful looking at the specs, and it's cheaper.

I also have the Worx Cordless one. It came from Amazon as a package deal, including a spare battery and a collapsible bucket. I just drop the supplied hose into a 5 gallon container and it's ready to go.

My primary use of it is for car meets/shows etc. mainly the ones which I have to stay overnight to attend. If the car's got grubby on the way down due to adverse weather, it's nice to be able to give it a quick rinse down in the morning before attending the meet. I must emphasise that it's not really used as a power washer, to be honest it wouldn't be much good for that, but as a means of soaking the car, particularly the wheels, before giving it a quick going over with a mitt, using my collapsible bucket, filled with warm water from the hotel bathroom and a dollop of Megs Gold Class shampoo. Another quick rinse with the Worx, dry it off with a decent drying towel and I'm ready to go.

All the above stuff, obviously apart from the water container, fits in a cheap and cheerful eBay plastic toolbox, along with a plethora of microfibre cloths and other cleaning essentials.

If a car is kept relatively clean then I think that the Worx would be fine though probably less so for something which is out all week in the dirty weather we've recently been subject to.
