Just been given my laptop by work to take back to uni with me. (IBM T42) which has all the bells and whistles etc. So i'd like to take advantage of this and get myself a wireless printer. I currently have one of the HP PSC range which is broken. So i'd like a similar sort of thing (Printer, Scanner, Copier) that I connect to with wireless or bluetooth.

Any recommendations. (Budget is £100-£150 max).

I like the look of the HP's but don't need one that accepts memory cards etc as long as it prints a decent page!

Are there any devices that I can plug directly into the usb port on the printer to make it wireless? (eg. Get a slightly cheaper printer then make it wireless.

Thanks,

Phill

I have the canon wireless printer and it is very good indeed. I can't remember the model number but if you have a look on canon's website or the applestore and you should find it easily enough.

Any other recommendations.

Had a look at some HP's at the weekend which looked good. I don't need the screen on them though! I'd rather have wireless connectivity than the screen.

I have an HP deskjet 5850....which I hate!

Its uses the 802.11b standard, which means it it goes in and out of range all the time, and its only up stairs.

The other option appears to be to just get any printer and plug a wireless usb card into it. (About £60).

Should do the job!

I would do that, going that way myself.
Means you can get the latest technology and better conectivity.

Looking at an HP PSC 1610 All-in-One series for £93 (mid range so no colour lcd which is no big deal) and I link a Linksys wireless print server is about £60.

sounds good to me, best of both worlds and a decent price.
