Bodywork - Gloucestershire

Hi Folks,

The time has come to sort the bodywork on my 996.

Its the usual stuff - and I am being overly attentive:

- Corrosion on bottom rear of front wheel arches
- Rust starting to appear at the bottom front and top of rear archest
- Rust appearing around the door strikers, and around where the metal sill protection plates have been sat
- Door edges need tidying up
- Front and rear bumper lacquer peel
- Bonnet has the peppering you'd expect after 139,000 miles and 25 years

I want to get it done as a one, and ideally I'm looking for PH to guide me a bit here. Has anyone had this done in the Gloucestershire area? I'm based in Gloucester, but happy to travel for the right outcome and a reasonable price.

Hi, have a word with Joe at Up to Scratch in Cheltenham. He has done work for me on my 997 turbo and Macan with good results. He is situated not too far from Cheltenham railway station.

Not sure where you are in Glos, but these guys are excellent.
When they did my car they had three nearly new Astons and a Phantom in there.

From experience it is going to need more than a bit if bodywork and need an under body refurb too. I can’t recommend Moores Motor Cars in Clevedon enough (down M5 from you).

Standard 996 prep…everything bar the roof and quarter panels..!

I have used the Spraymaster bodyshop in Swindon, part of the Dick Lovett group. The standard of work was excellent.
