I’m after a more weekend toy with a budget of around 30k and have narrowed it down either 981 Cayman, E92 M3 or and M2 comp.
Rear passenger space and a boot isn’t really an issue so a 2 seater is fine but I’m really torn on what to get.
Ideally, something that will hold it value pretty well would be good so maybe the M2 wouldn’t fit that and unsure how much lower the E92 M3 could go though.
I’ve had an E46 M3 which I quite liked and an F80 M3 which I never gelled with as it just felt massive along with a couple of C63 amgs and an Audi RS3.
I’ve never driven a Porsche though so maybe the Cayman would be good as you always hear great things on how they drive… but Im still unsure on the way they look and prefer a car that looks a little more aggressive and not so soft and round looking.
Whatever I get, it’ll prob never get used on long runs/motorway but more around town and local narrow B roads with some poor surfaces.
Anything else I should consider for around the 30k mark but don’t want a manual.

Cayman is definitely a good shout, but for a nicer driving experience, I'd be going for this;

At this budget, I'd choose the F-Type (V6S AWD at this budget) over the Cayman for both looks and theatre OR I'd take the Evora if I was focusing on the performance aspect - Not saying the Evora is or isn't better than the Cayman but it's much less common to see and it wouldn't leave me wishing I had a Cayman GT4 or a 911 the way that a Cayman would, both likely being better performers than the F-Type when it comes to throwing them around B roads.

M2C seems like an amazing car but they just leave me a little 'meh' and wanting for something that catches the eye more.

Yeah, mis-judged the price on those so they're out.

I’d of suggested a Lotus as well but op doesn’t want a manual.
