EA log in - old email address - going round in circles
Discussion
Guys, help me out before I pull my hair out.
Purchased F1 22 Champions Edition so I can play with my BiL online. Situation...
- cannot log on to online services: "it's been a while... your login credentials have expired"
- it then references a password reset email to an ancient email address (orange.net, no longer exists)
- I do have an EA account and can log in to it using my current email address
- I've played plenty of other EA games including F1 2019 without issue
- called EA customer services; couldn't even get through security!
- did a web chat and ultimately told nothing they can do
I don't understand where it is picking my old email address up from. All I need to do is log out of EA in F1 22 and log back in with my correct details (I presume) but this doesn't seem possible. I've scoured both EA and PSN sites to no avail. There seem to be a lot of EA help chats that never seem to reach a solution.
Any ideas? Cheers.

Have you checked to see if you have account linking active for the old account?
Have a look at your PSN account and EA account that you are using and see if they are linked or if you have your PSN account linked to the orange.net email you mentioned.
You can look on myaccount.ea.com in the connections section for EA's but I'm not sure where the PSN one is on their site. If the PSN account is linked to the old EA one that would explain why it's looking it up and you should be able to break the connection on the PSN site to get rid of the link and it will hopefully ask you to log in again and use your new account... in theory... ymmv... etc.

I did de-link (or whatever the correct term is) all my EA connections but that was logging in via my current email address. Can't log in to EA with that old email address as far as I can tell. I'll do a bit more digging on the PSN side - thanks.
However, none of this would explain why this is the only game affected. I re-installed 2019 and was able to join online lobbies!
The EA help is absolutely useless. I keep failing security which I suspect is due to me giving incorrect last 4 digits of my card linked to the account. Forgive me for not remembering what card I was using 15+ years ago! Is there a roll eyes emoji?!

If it's EA's online services causing the issue then F1 19 would work because EA didn't buy Codies till 2021, with the offer being made in 2020. F1 21 would have been the first F1 game with any influence from them or integration with there systems.
Oh I see! That makes a lot of sense now. I'll have to reinstall another EA game and see if I have the same issue. However, if I do, I can't see what the solution is if a) EA won't help me if I can't pass security and b) I cannot access the email address that any comms would go to.All this despite having an EA log on with my correct email address...?!
Anyway, thank you for doubling your post count after 12 years to help me!
