Octavia VRS Petrol

What is the best place to look for a Octavia Vrs tsi 2014+ not overly worried about high miles. I only ever look on auto trader or PistonHeads, can never find any cars on eBay?

Select petrol and min engine size 2 litre, you'll get only VRS models

I did try that but when I did it only 3 cars came up where as without the engine size a lot more VRS models came up, not sure why unless something missing or incorrect in a number of listings

What other parameters did you put in because nationally I got 202 cars

Great value fast hatch or an estate had mine 2 years.

2019 245 TSI Facelift blackpack, its a WLTP GPF car so quieter.

2017/18 onwards Performance is 6 sec 60, 155mph limited.

Some 230 and all 245 have the VAQ LSD performance diff off the GTI Clubsports.

Thanks, looking to replace a Volkswagen CC, it’s a great cruiser but the only thing wrong with it is that I’ve gotten into cycles and while I can fit two bikes in the car no problem I have to take off pedals, wheels and mud guards every time!
Looking at either a VRS estate or a Golf R estate. Also fancy a change form diesel.

Slight hijack, sorry but same subject, anyone got experience of older VRS's 2008 to 2012 on around 100k ? Looking for something £6k ish but still fairly exciting.

Have you also considered the Seat Leon Cupra 280 estate? there are a few of those knocking around for sub £20k

Cupra is nicer looking but you don't get as much boot space. That's why the Octavia is more popular as an estate version.

I'd be interest in testing both VRS and Cupra back to back.

This is a personal opinion but the Octavia isn't that much better in which case I'd get the Superb, if you want something that's more of a drivers car then the Cupra would be the pick out of the VAG options.

The superb is fine I don't think it feels that big, only ever feels slightly bigger and the 280/270 are nice basically a golf r that grown up.

Why would you say the Cupra is the drivers car, it shares its parts with the suspension/steering with the octavia, MQB platform they are all much of a muchness. The 4drive are different as you only get that on diesel octavias vrs.

The octavia estate is a good allrounder and will carry bikes inside with ease, the boot on the cupra wagon is smaller.

Depends the golf r is quicker and has 4wd with a front bias.

Get insurance quotes and it depends were you live the golf r can be very high to insure and front I have seen its going up, also they get stolen a lot in some areas. The VRS is not a quick but 245 estate is bigger cost less much more of a sleeper.

The Cupra has imo the better chassis when you want to get down a nice road vs the VRS yes they share the same platform but there are differences in the way they drive even the FWD versions.

None are what I'd call out & out hot hatches but they're a decent steer.

I’ll have to find some to take for a test drive! I’d imagine a golf r is fast enough for me anyway!
