Homelink and gates
Discussion
Hi
Does Homelink work on gates?
I ask because my homeland just won't pair. My remote is the BFT Mitto 2B remote and is a 2 channel rolling code remote for BFT gates, garages, bollards and barriers. Frequency: 433MHz. I press one of the buttons in the car and it tells me to point the remote at the roof console but then nothing happens.
Does anyone have any tips?
Thanks
Josh

Homelink on 997 and 92A Cayenne was a bit of a fiddle to program (you had to aim the remote at a very specific region on the bonnet), but once you’d set it, it would always work.Does Homelink work on gates?

I had the homelink option on a 992, and whilst I could get the remotes to pair with the car, I could never get it to operate any gate or remote door.
I’ve ended up getting a Remootio 3 device, and use it on lots of gates and doors etc, it’s excellent. You can run it from an app on your phone, but has the additional advantage that you can share keys with friends etc, and allow them temporary access. Much lower cost than the homelink option too.

The outer gates for the development where our house is use the same remotes, I don't have homelink on any of my cars at the moment but I'm almost certain I've successfully programmed one of my previous cars which did
IIRC those ones are a rolling code so there's a slightly different process
