Do I need paperwork in order to scrap car?
Discussion
My paperwork is a mess. Long story short the name (typo) and address (moved) on my VC5 logbook are incorrect, and I have also lost the logbook (in the house move).
Last week the head gasket went and I am seriously considering scrapping it.
Do I need to go through the faff of correcting the paperwork, or can I just scrap the car and forget it?

No. Maybe in theory but it is more honoured in the breach than the observance.Had to scrap my daughters car not long ago and it was a very easy process with the garage using an official “ green” scrapper. So I guess it’s seriously informal at a more traditional yard ! (Nice couple of Alsatians , anyone?)Last week the head gasket went and I am seriously considering scrapping it.
