starting probs

car has been sweet, last few days its having problems starting, will start but then stall and sounds all lumpy etc. any ideas anyone, as usual start for me is just a press of the button and she ticks over a smooth as you like!

mine was doing that, i had had a faulty lambsensor /exhaust on passenger side,/{u cud tell as the fumes out the exhausts only came out one side}- replaced it and increased the revs when idle. yours just might need the revs counter raised to .. 11 when idle,,,

Maybe its the time of the month? My car normally starts on the button. Got back yesterday from a short run, parked the car for 3 or 4 mins while I got something from the house, then the bugger wouldnt start, well it did for a few seconds, but kept farting and conking out again, oil pressure going all over the place. Finally got it to catch, gave it some revs to get him rolling, and apart from (perhaps me being sensitive now) a few extra pops and bangs he ran sweet. Took him out for 20 minutes then parked him up again for an hour and he started and ran as good as ever.

Im guessing it may have been fuel evaporation (and the oil pressure was just where the engine was conking out)?

Hi Mark,
Not as yet, always used to start on the button! but now in the mornings or when the car has been left for a while struggles to start, well starts but will then stall unless i give it some revs until its stable! but then when you start it when warm its fine!

any ideas? booked into levens for next friday.
