Lock question

I am unable to get my key to go all the way in the boot lock, I’ve sprayed the lock with wd40 but made no difference

I took a picture today and there seems to be something in the lock ?

Any ideas how I can get the out I’ve tried prying with a screwdriver but wouldn’t move

If it isn't a foreign body or a worn/damaged key it could be an internal piece of the mechanism - such as one of the wafers or wafer springs - has moved out of position due to wear or breakage.

May need the lock barrel removing. Can't help with a 'how to' but you might find something on the internet or youtube for your car.

The cars not worth the money to call out a locksmith I will carry on using the boot release inside the car
